For customers
- Keep the scope, estimate, timing and material changes in Qabbad messages.
- Check the verification labels relevant to regulated or higher-risk work.
- Do not share passwords, banking codes or unnecessary identity documents with a provider.
- For major work, ask for an itemised written quote, insurance details and any required licence or certification.
- If there is immediate danger involving fire, gas, electricity, flooding or health, contact the appropriate emergency service rather than waiting for a marketplace reply.
For providers
- Quote only work you are qualified, insured and legally permitted to perform.
- Confirm parking, access, occupants, pets and site hazards before travelling.
- Explain diagnostic charges and uncertain estimates before the customer books.
- Stop work and document the issue if the site or requested task is materially unsafe.
- Never pressure a customer to hide scope changes, messages or payment terms.
What verification means
Qabbad can record identity, licence and insurance checks separately. A check is a point-in-time review, not an endorsement or guarantee. Profiles should state exactly which checks were completed and when.
Reporting a concern
Preserve messages, photos, quotes, invoices and relevant timestamps. A dedicated reporting and appeals channel will be published before launch. Where there is suspected crime, immediate danger or serious property risk, contact the appropriate Maltese authority first.
